Pension Consultant

About the Role

This role is based in the Dublin office, covering all of Ireland and will benefit from our remote working policy. The successful individual will report to the Business Development Manager and work as part of the Business Development Unit. The role is client facing and will focus on new business.

  • A challenging target driven role to achieve the sales objectives of CPAS within the construction sector.
  • Scheme design and restructuring exercises and implementation of agreed changes and benefit structures.
  • Work closely with relevant internal teams to ensure the development and reinforcement of a consistent sales approach across CPAS.
  • Plan and implement sales approaches and campaigns with an agreed portfolio of clients and/or geographical region in construction related markets.
  • Work closely and effectively with all sales support and marketing colleagues to fully optimise all business development opportunities.
  • Preparation and sales pitches and staff presentations.
  • Build effective, lasting relationships with key influencers in the construction and related industry sectors, as well as the professional pension network by attending industry events.
  • Provide feedback and information on market and product trends, with a view to aiding the development of new products and services.
  • Support the BDM in working collaboratively with internal functions to identify opportunities for sales/marketing campaigns and services, which will lead to increased sales.
  • Ensure adherence to agreed sales, compliance, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • A flexible approach to new occupational pension schemes, including but not limited to AVC Campaigns & toolbox talks as the business requires.
  • Referrals to other departments

The Requirements

Essential

  • Pension qualification such as IIPM or RPA
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative.
  • A strong understanding of the relevant underlying Pensions legislation and regulatory environment.
  • Have own car & full clean driving license.

Desirable

  • Experience in a similar role target driven role.
  • Experience in Client Relationship Management systems, such as Dynamics or sales force.

Junior Pension Consultant (AVCs)

About the Role

This role is based in the Dublin office, covering all of Ireland and will benefit from our remote working policy.  The successful individual will report to the Business Development Manager and work as part of the Business Development Unit. The role is client facing and will focus on new business.

  • A challenging target driven role to achieve part of the sales objectives of CPAS within the construction sector.
  • Travel to businesses to meet with Employers and their staff to educate scheme members about the benefits & value of AVCs.
  • Sign members up for AVCs.
  • Provide investment choice information & AVC SORPS as required.
  • Build effective, lasting relationships with employers in the construction and related industry sectors.
  • Design and implement AVC sales/marketing campaigns and services, that will lead to increased sales.
  • Actively refer and promote individual opportunities to Milestone Advisory
  • Ensure adherence to agreed sales, compliance, legal and regulatory requirements.

The Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years Pension administration experience
  • QFA & RPA
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative.

  • Hold a full & clean driving license & own car.

Financial Services Consultant

  • A target driven adviser role to achieve the sales objectives of Milestone Advisory
  • Plan and implement sales approaches and campaigns with an agreed portfolio of clients and/or geographical region in construction related markets.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of new clients.
  • Advise clients and make recommendations based on their financial planning needs.
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients.
  • Generate new business opportunities & work towards agreed targets set out by the company.
  • Adhere to company and industry rules and standards.
  • Operate compliantly within the regulatory framework.
  • Make recommendations and provide solutions to client’s requirements.
  • Build and maintaining client relationships.
  • Develop & utilise industry connections to develop existing business and optimise new sales opportunities.
  • Actively refer and promote individual opportunities to other areas of the business.
  • Support the BDM in working collaboratively with internal functions to identify opportunities for sales/marketing campaigns and services, that will lead to increased sales.
  • Support the BDM in working closely with relevant internal teams to ensure the development and reinforcement of a consistent sales approach across CPAS.

The Requirements

  • A highly motivated self-starter who will take personal responsibility for sales targets to be achieved.
  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a sale related role in the pensions / financial services sector.
  • A credible professional, with a positive, can-do attitude, who is sales, service and client focused.
  • A tenacious, persistent individual, with a track record of achieving challenging sales targets.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with a thorough understanding of the life & pensions industries.
  • Strong, technical life & pension knowledge.
  • Must have a good track record in meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Flexible, adaptable and a positive working attitude. Professional and customer service oriented
  • Travel nationwide maybe required

The Person

  • Must hold minimum QFA Qualification, CFP, or CFP in progress desirable.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a brokerage or bank assurance role providing financial advice /planning advice.

  • A highly organised individual, who can work well under pressure and manage conflicting work needs.
